It’s been an exciting week home and abroad – Spring is
definitely in the air!
POSTER BOY filly La Cantatrice made her presence felt in the
Vicbred Super Series heats with a 1:55.6 win at Melton – she’s a big chance of
being the first horse to take out the $100,000 Llowalong Stallion Bonus! We can’t
wait for September 12…
For KING OF THE NORTH, two more futurity wins for his two-year-old
boys – colt Kountry Win took a $30,000 leg of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series
in a sizzling TR1:54.2 at The Red Mile, while in Canada, Benajmin Blue Chip
claimed a leg of the Prospect Series - watch him properly clear out below!
KING now boasts nine progeny to have run TR1:56 or faster in North
America, headlined of course by fillies Major Contender (TR1:54, $111,000) and
Treasure King (TR1:54.3, $110,000).
Excited too in seeing Ideal Frankie take a Vicbred win at
Melton, he was bred here on the farm for Lauriston Bloodstock, from their
quality mare, Pistol Abbey.
