His first seven starts as a two-year-old and early three-year-old resulted in a picket fence of seven victories: in each of them he blazed a last quarter in 27 with change. His first defeat came at the hands of the Australian 3YO Pacer of the Year in Bling It On, when narrowly beaten in the Group 2 Chokin 3YO Championship at Tabcorp Park Menangle - his personal time clocked at 1:52.5.
